Lisa Olenski

Program Director of Graduate Studies in Health Care Operational Excellence

Lisa Olenski is the Executive Director of Transformation Support in the Center for Clinical Excellence at BJC HealthCare.

BJC HealthCare is one of the largest nonprofit health care organizations in the United States, delivering services to residents primarily in the greater St. Louis, southern Illinois and mid-Missouri regions. With net revenue of $4.2 billion, BJC serves urban, suburban and rural communities and includes 15 hospitals and multiple community health locations. Services include inpatient and outpatient care, primary care, community health and wellness, workplace health, home health, community mental health, rehabilitation, long-term care and hospice.

Olenski has a degree in Computer Science and Math from the University of Illinois and an MBA with an emphasis in health care administration from Webster University. She has spent her career in Performance Improvement including tours at McDonnell Douglas (Boeing), Caterpillar and St. Louis based consulting firm SSE. In her current role at BJC HealthCare, she is responsible for leading transformation through organization-wide training and consulting resources applying Lean, Six Sigma, Change Management, Project Management and Rational Thinking Processes. During her ten plus years at BJC HealthCare, Lisa has worked with senior leadership, management and front-line staff to deploy Lean Management System including Hoshin Kanri goal deployment, rapid cycle improvement events and daily management.
