​Health Care Operational Excellence Curriculum

The 30-unit Master of Health Care Operational Excellence, is intended for practitioners and process managers in the health-care industry. Students in this program will learn the principles and science of process analysis and continuous improvement in health-care environments.


Complete all core courses from the following list:

  • T71-501 Introductory Overview of Operational Excellence in Health Care
  • T71-502 Facilitation Skills / Change Management
  • T71-503 Lean Health Care Concepts, Tools and Lean Management Systems
  • T71-504 Six Sigma Concepts and Tools
  • T71-505 Health Care Financial Models or T60-502 Financial Principals of the Company w/ Health Care case study
  • T71-508 Capstone Seminar
  • T71-509 Capstone Project
  • T81-5502 The Art and Science of Risk Management
  • T81-5504 Project Management Fundamentals

Complete one elective course from the following list:

  • T71-506 Innovation Science and Human Centered Design/Human Factors
  • T71-507 Discrete Process Simulation Modeling in Healthcare or E35-407 Analysis and Simulation of Discrete Event Systems
